We are proud to announce that WLS has made the list for Indiana Four Star Schools. The Indiana Department of Education named all of Indiana’s Four Star Schools for academics this past Tuesday. Woodburn Lutheran School is among only 20 schools from Northeast Indiana to receive the honor. This is a testament to the hard work of the students and of the teachers at WLS. It’s also indicative of the strong parental support of our families and of the congregational support WLS receives from Christ and Zion Lutheran Churches. It is a complete team effort to achieve this distinction. Four Star schools are selected based on three criteria.

• WLS scored in the top 25th percentile of all schools in at least two ISTEP-based categories.
  • 97% of our students passed the English/Language Arts ISTEP
  • 91% of our students passed the Mathematics ISTEP
  • 86% of our students passed the Science ISTEP
  • 95% of our students passed the Social Studies ISTEP
•  WLS earned an ‘A’ in Indiana’s A-F Accountability system.
•  WLS is state accredited through National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA).
